Winning Global Awards is a Source of Pride”
As Datassist, a technology-oriented company providing human resources and payroll services, we continue to enhance our success with the international awards we have received. Our CGO, Kemal Koçak, shared the importance of these awards and the new projects that may bring further recognition.
For companies, awards are seen as a strategic tool in terms of competitiveness and are used to increase employee engagement, performance, and loyalty. The same applies to us. In recent years, we have focused solely on international global awards, as we believe the services we offer are of global standards and we choose to compete on the global stage.
We take pride in the “Best Local Payroll Service Provider in the World” awards granted by the GPA (Global Payroll Association) in 2018 and 2020; the “Jury’s Special Award” given by GPA in 2021; and the “Diversity & Inclusion” awards presented by Reward Strategy in 2022 and 2023. These awards are highly prestigious, as they involve applications from numerous institutions worldwide, require making it to a short list, and are granted based on many rigorous criteria.
Awards That Make Us Proud
The “Diversity & Inclusion” awards presented by Reward Strategy in 2022 and 2023 are especially valuable for us. The first reason is that we had also applied for and won the award the previous year—something particularly challenging since, especially in our country, many companies do not make significant moves or innovations in diversity and inclusion. Winning two years in a row is therefore extremely difficult.
Furthermore, it makes us proud that our employment projects, initiated under the leadership of our founder Ayşe Nazmiye Uça, have created such an impact not only in Turkey but also abroad. Some of the standout projects include:
- Let’s Start Again: A project to reintegrate women into the workforce who had taken a career break due to motherhood.
- Overcoming Barriers Program: An employment program launched to support the participation of people with disabilities in the workforce.
- Foreign Employment: An employment program to reintegrate into professional life those who were forced to migrate to our country and faced hardships.
Source of Motivation
The majority of our workforce consists of young people and women. Being an innovative pioneer in our sector has always been embraced by our employees. Winning this award two years in a row has greatly motivated not only the employees hired through the projects at the center of the award but also all of our staff.
Beyond our employees, we have created an impact recognized by our more than 1,000 clients from various industries—so much so that we even organized meetings just to share the story of our award journey. Our international partners, and even companies we had never engaged with before, reached out to congratulate us.
Why are Diversity & Inclusion Awards Important?
- WON TWICE: We are proud of the “Best Local Payroll Service Provider in the World” awards granted by GPA in 2018 and 2020, the GPA “Jury’s Special Award” in 2021, and the “Diversity & Inclusion” awards by Reward Strategy in 2022 and 2023.
- CREATING IMPACT: The first reason we take pride in these awards is that we managed to win them consecutively. Since many companies in our country make limited progress in “Diversity” and “Inclusion,” winning two years in a row is very challenging. The second reason is that our employment projects, initiated under the leadership of our founder Ayşe Nazmiye Uça, have made a meaningful impact not only nationally but also internationally.
New Applications
After receiving three awards that crowned our service standards and two awards recognizing our diversity policies, we plan to nominate our upcoming innovative technologies for international awards once again. In addition, following the launch of our sustainability policies this year, we will apply for awards in that field as well.
A large share of the awards we have received so far has been linked to our “social responsibility” projects. Therefore, we will always continue such initiatives. As a company that has also received the “Great Place to Work – Best Employers” certification, we will participate in future awards that will positively influence the motivation of our employees and hold special value primarily for them.
“The awards we have won not only motivate our employees but also earn us appreciation from our more than 1,000 clients across various industries. We even created such an impact that meetings were organized solely to hear the story of our award journey.”
